Psalm 20: 1 - 9
Mar 15, 2010 -- 9:18pmRecently I read an article in Newsweek Magazine that was titled: Layoffs Are Bad For Business - The Downside of Downsizing by Jeffrey Pfeffer, which was very informative about what's really happening in corporate America and to our fellow citizens. I'm not going to quote the article, but I'd like to suggest that you look it up online and check it out for yourselves. I know for a fact it will certainly educate you about what our economic system is going through as it pertains to job opportunities or the lack there of. Our Law Makers/Elected Officials need to be concentrated on JOB creation; terrorism; education at every level and then health care. That's just my humble opinion as a Tax Paying citizen, ex-vet and Minister of God. When I see people at church, at hospitals visiting the sick and shut-in, talking to folks unemployed who come to the altar for prayer crying out for God to help them and asking me to pray with them for God's divine intervention. It moves you to the core of your being. It's called compassion for your fellow man and woman. Millions of people are hurting like I've never seen during my lifetime and the only answer for our country, our society per se' and the world is God's divine intervention because we as human beings need to repent of our sins and turn from our wicked ways. I know, I know, I know! Some of y'all are saying, "what's wrong with Walt?". Nothings wrong with Walt, God's Holy Spirit is speaking to me and convicing me to speak-up and speak-out on this subject at this time. From elected officials to corporate executives, the non-sense and greed needs to stop and it needs to stop right now because too many innocent people and families are being hurt and in some cases destroyed. The world in general has the same problems, but I'm concerned about our country, the country I love, the country whose military I served in, the United States Of America. We as Christians need to insist that we as a country put God back into our society and certainly back in our schools. In my opinion, more Christians need to stop being afraid and run for political office at every level and help get our country back on track. A good stiff dose of ethics would certainly be of benefit to our society. We as a people are facing a challenge like only our forefathers faced during the Great Depression, which the experts and history tells us was even worse. But, we are facing our misfortune because of some individuals personal greed, along with corporate greed as well. Something for all of us to think about. We as a society should not accept this type of evil demonic conduct within our midst. My father in the Ministry, Rev. L.K. Johnson who was the Founder and Pastor or the First House of Prayer in Chicago told me years ago before he when home to be with the Lord that I should read this scripture on a regular basis to help strengthen me to be strong in the LORD at all times. I pray it will help you as it continually helps me.
God's Blessings!

Psalm 20: 1 - 9
1. May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
3. May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.
4. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
5. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
6. Now I know that the LORD saves his annointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand.
7. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
8. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
9. O LORD, save the king! Answer us when we call!
This is a Psalm of David. A prayer for victory during battle and we are certainly facing spiritual battle on a daily basis as Christians because Satan was to destroy us. the Bible tells us that Satan; the Evil One, comes to "kill, steal and destroy." We need God's word to help keep us strong and to give us the wisdom and knowledge to be a force for God and that he be Glorified. King David understood that our trust should be placed in the LORD as opposed to man's preceived power. This prayer can help us in our times of need when we are facing a difficult challenge.
